4×4 track Steps
Reception at the airport of Marrakech and transfer to a charming riad : welcome tea and briefing, free area while waiting for the evening meal, then night on the spot before your departure on the tracks of the Atlas and the desert of Chegaga.
After a breakfast in Marrakech, head for the road to Sidi-Rahal and the typical souk of Zerekten in the beautiful and winding climb to the Toukbal (4.167 m). Lunch at the Tadder Hostel then rapid descent of Tizi n’Tichka (2.260m) on the track that leads to the most photogenic Ksars of Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Visit the site that served as a natural backdrop for major film productions from Lawrence of Arabia or Gladiator to Game of Thrones.
Then direction Ouarzazate and its beautiful Kasbah Taourit before a dinner in an inn in the palm grove of Skoura.
The first track crosses the beautiful and vast palm grove of Skoura where douars and adobe kasbahs alternate. Once along the M’Goun massif (4.071 m), towards the Draa Valley by a 90 km low-frequented track on the south side of the Jbel Saghro with exceptional reliefs and panoramas.
Wandering and relaxing in the palm grove of Tafetchena, then back on the track in a succession of kasbahs and ksours, before joining Zagora. Former stronghold of the Almoravids, it is the door of the desert and the point of accommodation homestay in the palm grove.
Departure to Tagounite and the Jewish necropolis of Foum el Rjam with its thousand small pyramids of flat stones superimposed and its rock carvings.
Direction to M’Hamid Rizlan, the last village before the Sahara, places the sand and a very technical track dotted with tamarisks and poops to the oasis of Smar, for lunch.
Then recovery of the road to the dunes of Chegaga, the most imposing of Morocco, before lodging and bivouac at the foot of the dunes, under the celestial sky particularly bright.
A day of Saharan track and sport on soft sand, between dunes and forests of tourzas, this tree of the desert, by the bed of the Draa which debouches on Lake Iriki, a fantastic landscape on the edge of erg Mhazil.
Lunch and relax at Tissint’s nomadic camp, before joining the palm grove of Akka Naït Sidi, the capital of herbalists and its astonishing waterfall in the desert, to spend the night.
Towards the village of Tata then that of Igrhem and its beautiful landscapes with interminable ripples along the wadi in the gorges of the palm grove, an area that has the most remarkable geological folds of Morocco.
Junction with the road to Tafraoute and its superb barrier of pink granite, lunch in an inn. Destination the anti-Atlas and the grandiose landscapes of the Kerdous Pass which offers a grandiose panorama of the entire region to the Atlantic coast, before reaching Tiznit, as well known for its ramparts as for its souk of jewelers who supply the world whole (dinner and night in the medina).
The beautiful road lined with cactus joins the Ocean to Mirflet and its Spanish urban past, free time for the ride and a swim (lunch on the beach).
Head for the coastal road to the troglodyte fishing village of Aglou, before a section of 40 km of coastal track in the heart of the wonderful natural reserve of Sous-Massa, at the edge of the cliffs and dunes, to the village of Tifnit , nestled in a cove, and join Agadir, for a dinner and a night at the hotel.
The magnificent coastal road between Agadir and Essaouira passes through Tamri and its huge banana plantation, before the 60 km of track along the wild coast of Cap of Imessouane, famous surf spot, where partnet access to sublime beaches like that of Iftane or the fishing village of Tafdena.
After a lunch at the Sidi-Kaouri hostel, direct connection to Marrakech, end of the tour, hotel accommodation in the Gueliz district and dinner in town.
In the morning will reveal Marrakech, his huge souk and his heart that beats around the incredible Jenna el Fna place until the late hours of the evening or its vast souk.
This will also be the time to share with a good mood a last tea and Moroccan pastries, before your transit to the airport and your expected return among us.
